The 2017 vintage will be remembered for the long lasting drought that affected the most of Italy, with a particular peek on lower Tuscany.
A scarcely rainy winter and a spring with literally no precipitations caused unprecedented drought conditions that appeared alarming since the beginning of summer.
Vine is, though, a very strong plant, and the agronomical choices, aiming to contain the extraordinary hydric stress, significantly contributed to the preservation of the harvest: we picked a reduced quantity of grapes, compared to previous vintages, but their quality and the concentration of juices anticipate an excellent quality production.
